I was thinking of doing this too. I wonder if it would help to water down the bales before piling the dirt on so they may pack as much as possible so the jumps dont collapse... My only imput...sittingduck said:

cowan built his huge dirt jumps in montana with hay bails, you can see them in that one NWD video, not sure wich one.
