Building a Wheelset but have questions

I am building a wheelset off BWW's site. I called them earlier and they recommended I use either DT Swiss 5.1 or Mavic 719 rims. Does anyone have any opinions on these one way or another? I would be curious to what people think that have used these wheels. FYI - I am more concerned with strength than weight. I am riding the stock wheels on the 08 SJ FSR Expert right now but its upgrade time!!!

I am going with their BWW branded hubs since they seem to get good reviews here. Any real differences between the DT Comp and DT Supercomp spokes other than price?

Sure.

The Comp are - 2.0/1.8/2.0mm (unless you specify their 1.8/1.6/1.8 Comps) and the Supercomp are 2.0/1.7/1.8mm

The SC were designed for disc brake use.

WOW, seriously, I know I'l be called a jerk, but just browse down this forum ever so slightly and this EXACT same topic was just covered in detail days ago

Well, I dont visit this part of the forum often so reading through each and every post is impossible. I did not go down 34 posts when I posted here - sorry. Which thread are you referring to? I saw info in here about BWW and wheelsets etc but nothing about the difference between the 2 rims or 2 kinds of spokes.

Gotcha - I did read through that post which is actually what prompted me to go to BWW. I didnt see any mention of the DT rims in there though or the spoke differences. Mike answered the spoke question so I know I will go with the SC on that, just not sure which rim to go with.

the 5.1's are heavier, but wider. the 719's may be more durable. lots of people dent DT swiss rims. not that it necessarily destroys the wheel, but a dent is a dent.

for what they are, 719's are beasts. i like mine a lot.. i could stand to have it a bit wider, but it works well for nev 2.1's or skinny 2.35's

I went with the EX719 laced to hope pro 2's, over the 5.1. Figure the mavic should dent less, and save some weight, didn't really need the extra width.
