Build quality of wheels from Fanatik?

1973 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  TheOtherOne
I’ve gotten my last few wheelsets from Speedgear and I would have done this time around, but Wayne doesn’t have the combo I wanted. (WI CLD + WTB Kom Tough i35)

Fanatik has an alternative hub/rim combo that I don’t mind going with. (I9 1|1 + Ibis S35)

This is for a bikepacking build.

Anyone chime in on the build quality of Fanatik wheels?

Thanks!

I’ve heard good things. I used Custom Wheel Builder last time and they were great. https://customwheelbuilder.com/

Thanks. I’m going to give them a call and see if they have the WI hubs.

I have used their wheel builder a couple times and they were great. Pretty quick delivery as well.

I've had two wheelsets built up using them. One for XC and the other for a trail bike. I checked the trueness of both sets and they were spot on. They are my go to when building up a new set of wheels.

I just visited Fanatik while on vacation. Top notch group. Very impressed. They are all extreme bike nerds... which is a good thing.
I can't speak to their wheel building but I ordered some pedals a few weeks ago and was very satisfied with the entire process. From checkout to packing and shipping they were great.
