Time to replace the O.E. Bontrager Select Discs. I ride aggressive XC, possibly light AM..? Rocks, roots, big climbs and fast decents, 3ft avg drops. Anything downhill/bike park-ish will get the Bontragers put back on. Sealed cartridge bearings a must. 2006 Fat Possum with everything aftermarket but the wheels, 2.35 Kenda Excavators. Biggest problem with current wheelset is the resistance to roll, bearings and cones junk. The boss said $300 is my limit/budget.

I've narrowed it down to:
1) BWW Pure XM - not sure about hubs, how free rolling or noisey they are. Strength seems more then enough....according to the description.
2) Easton XC Two - Total opposite of what's above.

Opinions needed, please and thank you. Leaning towards BWW, seem to have everything I'm after. AND, they can be serviced by my LBS do to parts being available.

bike bling have a great deal on a set of easton havoc's - a touch more heavy than the xc two's but a darn site more durable.

if you up the budget a hair (depending on the rim selection) you could import some custom hope pro2 built wheels from chain reaction cycles that are a piece of cake to service.

also might be worth taking a look at the fulcrum red metal 5's at pricepoint? (though the red metal 3's are a better choice just out of your price range by a margin)

Wow, nice catch with the Havoc's. That was a top choice for me but it was out of my budget. Lowest I could find was pricepoint. The weight is about equal to the Pure XM's with brass nips. Red metals were though of, but I'm not too sure about the 2:1 spoke deal, doest sell me. Thanks!
