My dear mountain biking friends,

It's been a busy year for my family but we've finally settled (somewhat) into our new house in Pleasant Hill. To celebrate another great year for mountain biking advocacy and our new home, we would like to invite you to our home for the BTCEB post-holiday party.

As has become our yearly tradition, BTCEB's annual holiday party is in January once again this year. With the all the crazy days in December we know it's hard for our members to find time to squeeze in another event. So just about the time the post-holiday blues have you crying in your soup, you can look forward to a great day of bikes, beer, and grub - all free for BTCEB members!

Our activities will include:
* paved-trail and playground activities for young children earlier in the day surrounding our quiet cul-de-sac and access to the Contra Costa Canal Trail
* group rides at various times of the afternoon for older kids and adults focusing on the local neighborhood trails in Pleasant Hill and Martinez
* pot-luck dinner and beer
* volunteer and advocacy awards

Interested in other activities such as a bike tune-up session, BBQ or the like? Let me know and we'll see what we can fit in!

Not a BTCEB member or not sure of your membership status? We'll have membership sign-up for non-member attendees and a donation hat!

Contact me directly to RSVP and coordinate pot-luck.

Want to nominate a volunteer or advocate for an award? Contact me for that too.

Happy holidays and hope to see you!

Dan

I'n there, too!

I hope I get to give out the awards again. It is the only glory job we get.:D
Did I mention BTCEB is buying the beer? I promise it will not be total swill.
If BTCEB is buying the beer count me in! Count me twice as I like beer, but only once for the chow, and a third time for the wife. She likes beer also, so better count us 4 times for the beer, and two for food.

Food is pot-luck! What are you bringing? Feel free to use my outdoor kitchen to finish whatever you might need to cook or keep warm!
Pot-luck?

I'm bringing guacamole and chips
BTCEB is also supplying the meat - tri tip and chicken. mmmmm meeeeeat.

I did mention that I have an outdoor kitchen with a propane grill AND a griddle? Unfortunately, the motor is missing for the rotisserie. If there's interest, I could run out and get a motor.

I'll advise other pot-luckers that we're looking for appetizers, vegan and vegetarian offerings and desserts.
A motor!?!? Horrors! Can't you hook a bike chain up to it? Then we can take turns pedaling to roasted perfection. You'll need some giant gear in there somewhere so we don't launch the tri-tip in the neighbors. (This guys setup might work.)
Bike Party this Saturday

Bump this puppy back up as the BTCEB party is this Saturday at Danger's place in Pleasant Hill. Email [email protected] for directions.
I'd better get avocados.

Thanks for the reminder.
Bummer, Rich! All day?
The group ride may be off but the party is still on!
