Lake Bryan has a pretty decent trail system IMHO, here's a link to maps and such: Lake Bryan Info

Click on East or West Loops trails for PDF maps. Various TX mtn biking organizations have races there often, so everything is marked pretty well.

Hope this helps!
is the riding very technical any ride shots
The riding at Lake Bryan is not technical, not even on a unicycle, and its rather lame, even on a unicycle.

However, within maybe an hour you can access Rocky Hill Ranch, located just outside of Smithville, where there are some more technical trails, although nothing that would warrant bringing out the big bikes. Other than that, more technical trails are found in Austin and or San Antonio, a bit of a hike from Bryan.
Here ya' go, this will tell ya' what's around, how far it is to wherever, and a bit more...
