Broke rebound dial Manitou Minute

1008 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Relayden
I just broke my Manitou Minute 1:00 rebound dial, and was wondering first of all if the fork will give me any trouble? or if the fork will work exactly the same, except I will not be able to adjust the rebound?
And secondly, I live in Mexico, so sending the fork to Manitou (Answer actually) is out of the question, would my LBS be able to fix it maybe?

What actually broke was a little plastic tube that holds the screw into the fork. I was actually surprised the fork had plastic instead of metal.

Thanks

Tony

This is the only culprit in these forks and Manitou is well aware of it. Try contacting Manitou first, (Bobby Acuna is great), they'll get you fixed. As for ride, the only thing is that you can't adjust the rebound, you are set. I usually set rebound and don't mess with it no more, however I do like to have the option, y know, por si acaso....
Gracias :)

I did get an email back from manitou today, Bobby Acuna actually was the one who wrote back, and he did specify that I am ok to use the fork and gave me the number of the part I need to get if I want to fix it.
Sure is a relief to know I am ok to go riding this weekend.

Thanks

Tony
