I broke a spoke on the rear wheel. I got it out but how do I tell what size spokes I have? My rims and hubs are pivit brand which are just rebadged for haro. I'm pretty sure the hubs are standard formula hubs and the rims look like wtb's. There's different gauges, different lengths? Can you tell what size nipples from the pictures? Can someone point me in the right direction here?

Bring the broken spoke (or complete wheel) into a LBS...they will be able to determine the length and gage and either sell you the correct spoke or if you prefer you can pay them to replace and true the wheel.

just take it you you lbs. a replacement spoke/nipple should only cost you about a buck or two.

I would bring both pieces of the broken spoke and the nipple to my LBS and replace it myself.

if you want to do it yourself, it's no too hard to measure the spoke in place with reasonable accuracy. measuring a spoke on the same side of the same wheel in which the spoke broke, start at the base of the bend (inside of the curve), measure to the end of the nipple, and add 11mm. those are straight gauge, 2.0mm spokes and 12mm brass (probably, but it doesn't matter too much) nipples.
