Send that warm weather up north.
It looks like you chose a great trail. Zinger, I hope you enjoyed the warm weather. We had a low of 12 degrees up here in Flagstaff and the high was just above freezing. Here's the forecast;
MONDAY
Sunny, but chilly
Hi: 43º
Low: 16º
TUESDAY
Partly sunny and warmer
Hi: 51º
Low: 20º
WEDNESDAY
Several hours of sunshine
Hi: 50º
Low: 25º
THURSDAY
Sunshine
Hi: 52º
Low: 25º
I didn't look at the temps for Prescott but you can count on Sedona being 10-15 degrees warmer than Flagstaff. I went out on a long ride today but I stayed below 7200 feet the whole day. Still, it was colder than a well-diggers knee-cap. There was a dusting of snow on the ground but it should be gone by tomorrow except in the shaded areas. I think the best bet is to ride down low on the mountain on Monday and then climb up Elden on Tuesday or Wednesday. If it doesn't get windy, the rides will be quite nice and you and your Ellsworth will be as one.

Pics were all taken on Sunrise. Gordon, Walt and myself started out on Ringtail > Sunrise > back to LDW.
