Nice choice of routes Mel! Not the usual Phil's Triangle that all the visitors do. There's nothing like a little local knowledge, is there?
Somebody ought to take up your offer.

Nice pic. It really shows how clear the water is. We went swimming in Elk Lake last weekend, and the water was a little cool but once the temps got up to 80 it felt great.Cog Wild said:Thanks Nat! Those are great photos! Here is one more, although not from biking, but I love how it shows the water. This is Sparks Lake, one of the lakes we drive by and have a chance to swim in!

You got that right, Vance. I was just up in Sun river, and I almost cried when I thought about leaving, and coming home to ride in AZ. We have good riding here, it's just nowhere near as nice as Oregon.Vance in AK. said:Geddy, you won't regret it if you o this trip.
I used to live in a town 150 miles south of Bend (Klamath Falls), but played & worked up near Bend. I've lived, ridden, or worked in Oregon, northern Calif., Montana, Alaska, Nevada, & AZ., & can tell you you won't find sweeter country anywhere.
This would give you four days of not just riding, but with locals who can let you know all about the housing and job market, social scene, biking season, etc.... And you will then also know about a lot of trails that even locals don't ride!geddy2112 said:I am gonna have to look into that. The wife and I are thinking of moving to Oregon, so why not start checking it out now![]()
