Jus got back from 1 of my midnight rides, ran threw ann arbor to EMU and on my way back OOOOPs a flat. But no worries i read these forums enough to know better to leave with out a spare. Digging threw my back pack i have the tub, repair kit, the tool, but low and behold NO PUMP:madman: and its 2 am. I didnt have my wallet or any change for the gas station air pump, 50c, thats all i needed, but alais nothing, and iam 7 miles away from home and have to work in 8 hrs. Luckly, very lucky, i called coollect to my gf and she was still up THANK GOD . I got a ride home, she asks if i going to change the tire so i can ride to work tommorrow i say " hell yea i am". I get the rim offf change the tire and go to pump it , guess what the wally world pump didnt work:madman: , iam glad i found that out before i was really far away on a trail or something. Lesson learned here, check your pack to make sure u didnt forget anything and make sure everything works before u leave.:thumbsup:

Good advise and make sure you have all the tools needed, was on a trail last week and my chain came off and got caught between the rim and the frame and no tools with us... had to call a friend to get us...

Couldn't you just remove the wheel with the quick release? Or just yank the chain back out.
