I've got an 01 JrT that I want to start rocking with a rim brake setup. However the posts are gone and in their place are the bolts that hold the arch section and the stantions together. Do they take a standard brake post, or is there something special that is needed?

You will need Marzocchi PN 532927QF. That will get you going.

BTW, there really isn't such a thing as a "standard" brake post.... There are many different types of them out there...
