Getting some new organic pads and I have 4 options. Shimano B01S, Shimano B03S, Koolstop D620 and Jagwire. Any difference in performance between them? Koolstop also makes the D620E which is an bike organic compound. Better than the standard compound? I am doing XC riding with a few steep sections. Stock braking was pretty good, but if I can get a little better with pad selection then that would be great. I have the basic rotors that are not compatible with sintered or metallic pads.

Ime I doubt you will gain any more braking power (or enough to notice perhaps?) with any of the alternative pad types or brands you listed.

The Shimano B03S has an updated resin compound which is stated to last up to 40% longer than the B01S pads so I'd personally choose those but only for the longer lasting pad life aspect.

Jagwire I guess is going to perform like any of the other standard resin pads, just with a different brand logo.

Similar story between the Koolstop options. Unnoticeable with regards any extra power but the e-bike specific D620E's have a 'ceramic barrier' which would go someway to avoid heat transfer so a better option if you do long steep descents, overheat your brakes and have possibly experienced any kind of brake fade. 🪙🪙
