Have you skied there before? Always seems so windblown around the lake. My guess would be not there, not yet. I could be completely wrong as I havn't been up there in a long time.Carl Mega said:I want to go XC skiing.
Thanks in advance.
C.
Thanks. I'm new to the sport and have primarily skied at Nordic centers. I did some stuff at Henderson Mine the other day and it was good (although I had a hard time descending). I'm hoping that the Brainard Lake area is a good area for me. Not sure where those other areas are but I'll look them up. Hopefully my glide vs ride experiment works out.Debaser said:Have you skied there before? Always seems so windblown around the lake. My guess would be not there, not yet. Heard some of Eldo's nordic skiing is open. I'd try up 4th of July/Hessie before Brainard.
Hey Carl, good to see you back. Did you ever post about your CT adventures?Carl Mega said:Thanks. I'm new to the sport and have primarily skied at Nordic centers. 4th of July Road: West of Nederland, through the village of Eldora. It splits about a mile and a half west of Eldora at the Hessie townsite - both have steeper sections, sorta typical mountain valleys to climb through.Carl Mega said:...Not sure where those other areas are but I'll look them up.
