a flat on the East Fork of the Salmon was a good time to filter some water...

Halfway up the hike a bike... We started from the valley below and had another 1000 feet of hiking to go...

Oh yeah, the ride, including stops and mechanicals, took us about 10 hours. 7 hours of riding and 3 hours of hiking... The last 1000 foot drop was done in moonlight... That was interesting...

When the Garmin died at around the 8 hour point, we've climbed about 8.5k feet... We still had about an hour and a half of climbing after that... I'm still sore....
