The House Resources Committee at about 8:45 a.m. this morning approved Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson's bill to protect 315,000 acres of the Boulder White Clouds in the central Idaho wilderness.

The bill, which also would transfer several thousand acres of public land to Custer County and other local governments, was passed on a voice vote and now goes to the floor of the House.

From what I could quickly glean online, it appears that there will be "motorized corridors" within this area. Would MTB'ing still be allowed in certain areas then too?
