well in may i bought a haro fs and have ridden it maybe 4 times since then. i guess im just not strong enough to ride a 38lb bike. anyways hit a local pawn shop, and they had a specialized p1 ss. It seems to be a great bike from my short ride that i did today. i couldnt go any farther due to a nail in the tire. the bike is light enough to throw around even with 210 on top of it.my first jump on it was a small two step. well on to the pics. if anyone could give me some specs that would be greatly appreciated. also what would be some good upgrades?

if you know the year and whether its a regular or long then you can get the specs off of specialized's website. as far as upgrades go just go by what seems to be lacking- whether its the brakes or cranks or fork- thats what id do. none of the parts seem too suspect other than maybe the generic bars...

first thing will obviously be tires. not sure after that. the bars i may cut them down a bit. they are a little wide. gotta remove the brake handle that went to the front. it does need the usual tune up as well as things like grips etc.

If you are just using it for what it was intended, entry level dirt jumping/urban, then leave it as it is until stuff breaks then replace. If you are going to actually ride trails with it then some proper brakes would be good. Those particular mechs on it are not exactly stellar.

makes since. im gonna admit right now im a chicken so theres not a whole lotta jumping going on but im trying. should i redo the front brakes? or what would you recommend for the back?

id recommend avid bb7s got em on my vagrant they are perfect and pretty inexpensive got 203 on front overkill would go 160 rear 185 front

With the BB7's you don't have to get new levers and they have decent power. Not a tone of modulation, but they certainly are not bad brake. They are good. Having said that...you can find some smoking deals on Juicy's right now since the Elixr brakes are up and running. But whatever brake you get, get one for the front at least. Most of your braking efficiency/effectiveness comes from your front on trail riding.

Enjoy it and keep the rubber side down.
