Bottom Bracket sizes.

The spindle lenght on my old bottom bracket was 122 mm's. Would it be ok to use a new bottom bracket with a spindle lenght that's 4mm's smaller or lager? Which would be better?

Spindle length has to do with the specific crank you're using and the chainline you're shooting for...what model crank do you have?

Shimano Deore (single chain ring) on a scott voltage 2(dirt jump bike/dual slalom). Now geared in the back but soon it will be a single speed.
If you run the chainring in the middle position a 118 mm spindle should work .
