Hi all, I am not a full time rider, but I enjoy riding on it.
I need some help and advise. I got a foldable bike from trinx and I want to do some upgrades on the chain wheel and bottom bracket.
Its an internal threaded bearing type, Im wondering if I can replace it with an external threaded bearing.

Thanks in advance

Generally, internal threaded BBs are not serviceable and are used on older style cranks, usually square-taper interfaces. Going to an external-cup BB that uses larger bearings will necessitate getting a new crankset, because those BBs do not include a spindle. Lower end shimano cranks are fine for this application. Do you want to get new cranks or not?

You can replace it with a modern 2 piece crankset with external bearings.
It's not too expensive and there at lot's of options to choose from.
A Shimano Deore crank for example, or the IFX crankset that seems to be popular these days because of it's low price.
