Hey Experts and Enthusiasts,

I just picked up a sick 2004 brand new Jamis Dakar xc comp frame...the guy i bought it from was aswome and it came new with a new fox float r...not a bad deal for $350!

And i have a Jamis Eureka sport from the same year. All the components match up perfectly for a transfer except the BB.

Now the Eureka Sport has a Shimano BB-ES50 110mm spindle; where the Dakar(according to the specs) fits a Shimano BB-ES51 113mm spindle...

My question is...Would it matter if i used the Eureka's BB and put it in the Dakar, or would it mess something up?

Please help:confused:

As long as the BB shell is the same width on both frames, then either BB is just as compatible as the other with that frame. The difference in model # and spindle width for the two BB's is important for which crank you will use with that BB. Different Octalink cranks are designed for different spindle lengths
