Seriously, that wasn't helpful at all.

there isnt really a way to take out the bottle bosses that makes it more worth while than cutting your seat post. so get over it

Well it might seem unhelpful, but honestly its the only way. Its common to do this. Just use a bi-metal hacksaw blade and something to guide it straight. OR have your LBS do it as they have a tool for it. (same tool used for cutting steerer tubes)

Ok, here to save my e-cred.

I already knew that I could cut my seatpost. I also already know how, but thanks anyways.

I've been riding some longer uphills, and some DJs. So, I'd like to be able to drop my seat all the way, and bring it right up without having to buy an adjustable post (don't even think they make one in 27.2) or another seat/post combo.
