Took a road trip with the family and my buddy Bruno. It was a nice weekend and beautiful weather. It was my first time out of SoCal for MTBking and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

answers to questions -

Last time I was there, it was free to ride the place (owned by the city). The shuttle was $20 for the day.

The road gap is east (to the right of the main road as you are driving up) just before the hour glass. As soon as the road actually starts getting "into" the canyon, you just passed the road gap. I will try to dig up a map and show it to you on a map. You obviously do not gap the actyal canyon road, just an old access dirt road or something. Not sure if it is even a road, but it is a gap.

Thats for sure, the kid is kicking ass. He hit the 40 footer yesterday that we were telling you about when we met you at Mt. Wilson. Hopefully someone got a pic of it.

Bruno is the man.

Super nice guy too. Went out of his way to give me a ride when I flatted on the way back to the shuttle area and was going to have to walk a couple miles. SMT was taking too long at the bank and I had to wait forever.
