We dedicated this entire day toward the Downhill venue only. We located Thumper and Full Trucker (both from MTBR) said hi, and then took off on the shuttle. We did several trails, mixing up various lines. Rob decided that a Nomad is too small of a bike for the DH, but did excellent on the trails. Friday evenings' run had my rear brake fading, so I stole on from my Nomad and used it on the VPFree.... Good thing...

1. Heading down Armeggedon

2. On the banked U-turn on Snakeback

3. Rob on the U-turn on Snakeback

4. Rob negotiating the rocks on Shakeback

5. Rob teetering at the parking area

Bootleg has been awesome this weekend! Great weather, for sure! I almost forgot what it was like to sweat! IndecentExposure - nice meeting you. Full Trucker and I are off to Moab for some more DH and moto! Here's a few pics of our adventures this weekend.

1. A little DJ action.
2. Full Trucker - full-on high speed action
3. The Poop Chute
4. Nice!

Thumper, I'm surprised - is that a Boxxer team on your ride? Isn't that a little ghetto for a hi rolla like ya self? ;)
Whatchoo think of the Socom up close? All's I've seen is pictures so far. Mikey let you take it for a spin?
I tried to kill my bikin jones with some snowboarding Sat and kayaking at Myer's Pool in Westsinister Sunday. Didn't work, so I spun on the trainer for awhile last nite. I was ok til I saw these pics... thanks... :middlefinger:

Yes, that is a ghetto BoXXer on my v-10. I sold the World Cup on eBay and will be putting this complete bike up for sale in the next couple weeks.

The Socom is *****in'. I've ridden it before and it's pretty dope - feels like a steeper head angle, but I think it's just how Mike has it set up.

Def a fun weekened was had by all. Heres a quick run down.

5 Riders, 3 MSC Teams, no broken wheels and lots of good times!

Saturday's winner : Evan
Sunday's winner: Todd

New nicknames included : Peckerwood, Billre(sp?) stinkmaker, Chuter McEvan

The ice cream taco was invented!

Evan nailed every trail on the mountain. My truck dented Mike's new bike. Billy cased the road gap and walked away fine. I learned tricky rollers.

The two pics are Chuter McEvan, the turn one is grant cheering on Evan railing a sweet turn!

Here's a couple shots of the continuation of the trip for Evan and I. This is the Sovereign Trail singletrack in Moab. Good stuff fer sher! The battery in Evan's camera went out pretty quick, so no pics of him from today. We'll try to get some more tomorrow.

Mmmmm... ice cream taco! Don't forget the sprinkles, yo. Bootleg was a gas for sure, such great riding and a solid crew made for a seriously good time. Too bad for Birry we partied him into a coma Sunday night... jeebus. I blame Mike.

Moab is pretty rocking right now... rode for about 4 hours this afternoon on some seriously techy singletrack. Gonna try and either ride moto from Moab to Green River and back or get in a DH shuttle with some locals and then ride some close-by moto action.

We'll surely let ya'll know. Keepin' it real for all you sinners out there.

I tried to hang, but in the end it was just too much. Maybe it was the aching shoulder. Trying to go big, but just coming up a bit short. Bootleg was badass. You don't know what steep and rocky is until you ride bootleg. Thanks E-Von for the guide service and showing us what's up. We all appreciated your services.
