I remember reading on here that someone had a line on the rear posts to run a V brake on the old style Race frame. I have the shorter style that work w/ cantis and would like to upgrade my SS project to some Vs. Any help would be great!

Thanks, I just stumbled upon the other thread where you posted that link. I sent a PM, hopefully I will hear back. I love the old Bonty, just would like some newer stoppers.

Its a '92 Race frame in the purple powder coat. It has the newer style decals w/ the diagonal stripe rather than the vertical. I had the older ones and now wish I had kept them rather than replacing them w/ the new ones, but I was young and didn't know any better.:nono: I am running an old Judy XC and am thinking about doing the MRP air conversion. It was all XT/XTR from the time, but I lost some of the stuff over time and now it is built up at a SS. Still a blast to ride. Hope to get some pics up soon.

Mine are actually welded. I have the externally butted/riveted seat stays. I may have gotten it in '93. Can't remember that long ago.

yeah, my shoulders killin me from cartin it around all day, but i'll sling it cross my back and bring it in tomorrow...
