Bontrager XLR Tubeless Dumb Question

819 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  TallMon
The stupid brochures that came with the wheels are useless.

I have XLR wheels, Juice, XDX TLR tires, the Bonti cores, and the Bonti rim strips.

Here goes: Does the valve/core go between the strip and the rim OR does it rest on the strip?

It seems the brochure that came with the wheels shows it both ways.

I'm sure it'll seem obvious after I put it together.

Also, does anyone ever remove juice after the initial fill (as the Juice bottle suggests)?

thanks

It goes on top of the strip
Yup and...

make sure that the flats on the inside are oriented exactly as shown in shiggys picture. If the aren't you'll end up with bead seating and sealing problems.

Good Dirt
thanks.... tubeless 29er here I come!
