rubbing noise?
ugh... in 2 months I went through 2 of them... one 2009 and one 2010. Same hub - same garbage. It is so cheap design that I can not believe they are making them and selling for as much... They come from far east stuffed with thick grease so that pawls can barely move. Sometimes they do not move and that is when the damage happens... you can easily take them apart: remove the skewer, take the cassette off and pull on the free wheel body - out. Then take a look inside and grab a beer....
I finally quit on these wheels and asked my LBS to get me Mavic 29ers...
My suggestion is to definitely open the hub, clean it up well and lube with appropriate thin oil. Also, remove the tensioning metal O-ring and bend it tighter and put it back on... it should provide more opening pressure on pawls...
if you see any burrs on the free wheel body that holds pawls - the hub is going south, if not already there... If you have any play in it - it is gone... or almost gone...
