I was running a set on my CC for a while. Fast, lite, and greatt on all but the muddyest trails. Id say go for it. Actully thinking of racing the 26" versions on my 26er this year
read up on offroad rolling resistance, narrower and/or more psi mean better rolling only on flat surfaces.12to29 said:I have been using the crossmark 2.1 and noticed the bontrager XDX TLR 1.75. I was thinking this might be a better race tire (only 1.75 less resistance), any comments?
THanks!! GReat article. I will just stick with the crossmarks!!syl3 said:read up on offroad rolling resistance, narrower and/or more psi mean better rolling only on flat surfaces.
why fatter tyres are faster
The smaller tires make a 29er much more nimble handling and lowers the gear ratios as well. Notice the Fisher guys have won races on small tires and so did Ryan Treborn (on a Bonty XDX 1.75 in fact).12to29 said:THanks!! GReat article. I will just stick with the crossmarks!!
