hey all, im looking to replace the big ring on my 04 enduro comp with a bashring, does anyone know what the bolt pattern is so that i can match up a bashring for it?
thanks,
kris
As far as I know, they are pretty much standard. All you need to know is if you have 4 or 5 bolts for the big chainring. Then all that matters is how big a chainring the bashguard is going to cover (like 32 or 34 tooth or whatever). The standard middle chainring is 32 teeth.
i would suggest that you go with a 34 tooth max rock guard. I started out with a 32t ring and a 32max guard with an 11-32 casettee. It wasn't fast enough for the downhills so i switched to a 34t chainring and a 11-34 casette with a 34max guard.
But maybe its just me. Lots of people with a 32/11 max go faster on the downhills than I ever will.
ill have to see how it works out, i think ive only been in the big ring a total of about 3 times on that thing, so im gonna stick with what ive got for now and just put on the 32t guard for now.
thanks for all the help,
kris
