I'm thinking about ordering a new custom built wheelset for my AS-X.
can I use a 10mm bolt on rear hub? (i'm considering the Hope Pro-2 10mm bolt on rear hub)

Yes you can. I'm using the Fun Bolts for the King rear hub. Helps make the rear end a little stiffer...

I have never put a quick release on the back of my asx.... I have 2 wheels for it... Hadley 10mm Bolt axle with Titanium spokes and a mavic 729...... and a King funbolt with DTswiss revolution spokes and a DTswiss 5.1 rim.

get the 10mm bolt-on for now... the pro 2 conversion for 12mm is about $35.. if you need to do it afterwards.... the hub is the same....

May I ask which one is the stiffer interface? I have a 10mm Hadley thru axle and I am considering switching it to the Hadley 10mm Ti Bolt kit.

Bolts

I have the Hadley 10mm bolt on my ASX and I have the Hope on my hardtail - it uses the same 10mm bolt that I have on my Hadley.
