if you can afford it get what you want as long as it 1) fits 2) is safe 3) he learns how to take care of it so he won't take it for granted. It truly sucks to spoil a child with things they can't appreciate.Kyron said:I want to get him somthing with front brakes, Do any of them have the "V" brakes on the front? Or they dont because of the way they route the cable?
I'm leaning towards the Dimond Back Grind series..........
thanks..........
Very good advice. I bought BMX bikes then put shorter cranks & handlebar on, the weight of the bikes were still to much for them then. Check out Free Agent good pricing with quality, http://www.freeagentbmx.com/standard235 said:If you want it for BMX, then he needs probably a Junior size depending on his height.
If he wants it to ride around the house... learn to jump on curbs and stuff if he doesn't already, get a beefy bike. I had a bike with a 21" top tube when I was 6.... I still jumped it.
Then I got a 16lb Mini.... and I was jumping at the local track. Ahh, the memories.
