If you're leaking in the cold it's likely not enough squeeze on the seals. Grooves are too big.
Possibly. It could also be they've taken a stab at a different compound in the same size. Because that's easier and cheaper.Gotcha, so most likely these aftermarket kits are a slightly thicker cross section to have less shrinkage in the cold?
If you were to take a stab what compound do you think would be a little more optimal for cold weather?Possibly. It could also be they've taken a stab at a different compound in the same size. Because that's easier and cheaper.
I think the Mastodon has it sorted for low temps.............If you were to take a stab what compound do you think would be a little more optimal for cold weather?
If you ask me this Fork looks like a pretty flexing noodle so I'm guessing between the shrinking seal and the cold weather and the flexiness it's probably getting burped?
S4 has a kit they sell for those. Not sure of the seal compound, not that they'd tell you either.Whats with the bluto winter seal kits i see? Is it actually different materials? I assume stock is nitrile 70, is there something better to prevent the dreaded cold weather air loss?
I did hear some talk on the net that the grease rock shocks used got way to thick in the cold causing the problem.
I have personally used many other forks in the cold canada winter all with nitrile 70 air seals with no problems, is the bluto special?
