I started with a Race Face Next carbon post which was nice and now use a Thomson Elite. The Race Face looks cool and has more set-back than a standard Thomson post and is only available in one lenght where as Thomson sells em in lots of lenghts. The carbon sure does look cool. Check the Race Face web site as I know they are coming out with new posts. Thomson is a top quailty standard. Either is a good choice in my opinion. Easton also sells a bunch of posts in 30.9.
I've got thomsons on all my rides plus my wifes bikes and 2 in the tool box because she wanted to go from black to silver because they matched her stems better
