We will be kicking off the 2015/2016 Black Mountain trail building season on Saturday, December 5. We are adding nearly 4.5 miles of new single track and making much more of the mountain accessible where it was previously all HAB!

We will be meeting at Sundevil Way. The gate will be open so drive up to the northern end of the street to the trail head. It is a 2/3 mile hike to the build site.

This year we got a boost from the Rangers, the city of San Diego, and America Conservation Experience (ACE). All of the trails have been cleared of brush. We will need to remove the stumps, bench, and create tread. We have enough work to keep us busy for the bulk of the build season.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP here -->Black Mountain Trail Work This will help us to ensure we have enough tools and goodies for you!

New to trail work? --> What to expect during a trail work event It is not back breaking work but it is physically demanding.

Tools - the two best tools are a picmatic (pickaxe) and a shovel. We will provide additional tools but if you have a favorite one of your own, please feel free to bring it.

Questions? Ask.
