my friends and i thought about staying and ride, but beach is so much fun + we only go to the beach 3 times a year. so the bikes wont see action this weekend!

Back in the golden years when I lived in SandyEggo (till 05), I would either bike from pacific beach over to ocean beach via mission beach (getting in 10mi roundtrip) or get up early and hungover, head for the hills, ride and come back for the boozin...

Biking and the Beach

During breaks in winter rains, when the trails are still closed, my wife and I hit the beach!

...than ride some more after work on Monday and ride still more on Tuesday. That's what I'm doing.

Santa Cruz has always filled both needs. Many early morning rides at Nisene Marks/Demo Forest with afternoon volleyball at Rio Del Mar. All good...
