Hi all, next week my family is going on vacation to Calicoon, which is sort of south west of the Catskill park. I did look at the recent post on biking near the Catskills, but I'm still having a hard time. I'm currently training for a 100 miler, so I need to get some riding in while were there. I don't really care what type of trails. I'm going to be there with my kids so I can't drive super far. My time is a bit limited. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great!

There are some nice trails in Pearson Park in Liberty, which is not too far. I also found a short Rail Trail when I was there last year but I would not bother with it.
Lots of hills and quiet back roads too if you are into that sort of thing.
Make sure you check out the Calicoon Brewery too.

Walnut Mountain in Liberty is very good. A bit closer is Mongaup campsite in Livingston Manor, mostly double track but explore the trail up to the peak for some hike a bike and good single track. Rrr

Walnut Mountain in Liberty, N.Y. has 15 miles of single track, most of it built in the past 3 or 4 years. Check out renegadesmtb.com for more info and map.
