Bikepacking with a SIR - Your setup?

Trying to figure out racks vs bags. Anybody done it? What'd you use? I've found Carousel Design Works & Epic Designs, wondering if OMM racks would work. Any other options?

I've got an OMM rear rack (sherpa) on my pugs. I like how it stays back away from the seatpost.

I have an Epic Designs frame/gas tank on it as well. I love it. I'm thinking about one for my cross check. I ride a 52cm frame, so there is not much room for anything but bottles. By putting a bladder in there I could carry a lot more water.

Not what you asked, but I like them both.
J-No, How much was the framepack & gas tank? I've emailed Epic & Carousel looking for quotes but no reply yet. Any guestimate on cc capacity of the framepack? 400ish or more 800ish? Thanks.
I think the framepack and gas tank plus shipping was just under $200. I did get the frame bag and gas tank with the taper, so that might be more.

I have a 16 inch pugs, so there is not a lot of real estate to deal with. I'll try to measure and guesstimate this weekend (I need to remember my 10th grade geometry). Eric will get back to you, he is pretty busy with the winter races right now.

I want a SIR set up as a SS in the worst way.

Good idea. :) I'll check out the volume of my SIR triangle, about 2-2.5 inches wide?

I love my (geared) but full rigid SIR with Pace carbon fork. Absolutely a blast in all but the baby head size rough.
