i did a search on here and did not come up with much. What do you guys use? where can I get one? what do they run?

Repair. I plan on leaving it on the stand when the bike is not in use either. I ride a lot, short sessions(2hr) but as often I can 5 times so far this week, and the weekend is still upon us

It's not good to leave a bike in a repair stand.
For the money this is a great working stand that has a tray for those pesky bolts and nuts.

Look at Feedback Sports Bicycle Work Stands
I use the Pro Elite and it's great. They have some of the best portable workstands. You see this brand at all the races.

i like the feedback sports stands. i use the sport model- around 120 or 130 i think when on sale.

Because it's just sitting there putting constant pressure on your frame, seatpost or however else you attach it.
LOL then you bought the wrong bike if that causes an issue.

How do you figure that when any literature I have ever seen on keeping it in a stand states not to leave it in for extended periods of time regardless of what bike or stand it is? I haven't had a problem with it, but why would you constantly leave a bike in something that is putting pressure on tubing and having to hold up a 30lb weight?
I don't keep my bike in the stand because I have a place to hang it. However I'm not sure how tight you clamp your bike but I guarantee my seat clamp is tighter then the clamp on my stand. So if there was going to be an issue with the force of the workstand clamp, the seatpost would have failed already from the seat clamp force.
