Are there any bike shops in SoCal that buy used high end bikes? I just blew over 3k on a XC bike that I really don't think fits my riding style. Right now I just want to go back in time and buy a stumpjumper for 2k and pocket the rest. lol.

ebay, craigslist are you best bets - I've helped customers move their bikes on eBay and Craigslist when they buy a bike from me (in addition to a shop owner I'm a software developer and consultant).
MTBR classifieds are a great target audience as well, and at $2 an ad - you can't beat it.
