Yep we are done with rentals. Wife pretty severely injured herself. Wasn't strictly the rentals fault, but the bike had less than an ideal setup and the tires were quite badly worn. She messed up and the tire slipped (in a totally chill section).
Absolutely not blaming the rentals, they have to run a business, and ebikes in particular get ridden hard. I just don't think it's worth it anymore for real riding (outside of just trying to try out a bike), if your going to be aggressively riding might as well control every variable you can. And dont ride super crappy tires with droppers that need serviced.. that to lol (probably the main real takeaway lol).
