Hey guys,
The other day i brought my friend out on the trail, he rented a bike and we did mostly downhill trails and we had people shuttling us around. So any way he was super into it, so into it he wants to get his own bike and start looking at training and doing races. Unfortunately he has a medium budget, thats were you guys come in. Budget=No more than $1200. style=All Mountain, downhill. Any help on were to buy, what to buy, what not to buy will be appreciated. Thank you!

I was reading up on the Reign X and it's supposed to be good for that: all-mountain, free ride, and light downhill. I've seen used ones in the 1200 price range.

Great suggestion, looked at a couple last night and found one in good condition for 1100. My friend says he would like to look at a couple other brands before final decisions. Any other suggetsions? Thanks for the advice again by the way.
