I believe I left my Avocet 45 bike computer at the cabing we were staying at in Wyoming last week. I like the Avocet computers, because they use the MultiPulse sytem.

Are there any other manufacturers use this style of pickup? The other brands all seem to use a single magnetic pickup.

avocet......ever considered polar?

over here in th UK avocet are'nt readily available anymore, but i rode one on my road bike for years, and your right they're really good. but now i use a polar cs200cad unit, it does everything and includes settings for 2 bikes, so i use it on road and off road, very durable and no issues, you can even download all ur files to a training diary on polars website for your own gain or interest, see what milage your averaging weekly etc.
definately worth checking out and i promise you will not be dissapointed!

I failed to mention that they're just about impossible to get. Avocet is completely out and won't have new ones until next year. Does anybody know of any reputable mail order shops, or LBS' that aren't afraid to ship, that carry them? All I'm able to find is eBay.
