Hello guys,

I just wanna say hi to fellow MTBr here. My name is Glenn from RAMSEY and looking forward to meet anyone to ride an MTB maybe in the RINGWOOD area, pls email me at [email protected] so I can join the fun.

Here is my story, Im an avid MTBr in the Philippines (GAWD i love there, because there is no trail there we can go anywhere we like, rice plantation, coconut plantation, any forest, woods, anywhere we like).I got here in US (tech guy during the Y2K bug era) 2001, got married & forgot the bike. Now after six years and maybe 20 lbs, bike bug is again alive. My budget just allow me to get a MOTOBECANE w/ ROCKSHOX TORA, now Im ready to hit the trail again (but might need a little practice).

Here are some pix back home with my bike group. Back home there is no brand named bike, we just go to our local welder, show a biking magazine & BWAHLAH, one week after, I got a NEW GT haha

Hoping to see you guys at the trail & give me a biking 101 again.

THANKS MORE POWER TO ALL OF US!!!!

zackde,

There is no pics of your biking back home in there, only the motobecane.

I'm trying to get a friend into biking. How much did you pay for that bike and where did you get it?

bikedirest.com

i researched for awhile to get a good bike, forum is a war out there its

MOTOBECANE vs. IBEX

they are two bike companies, frames are more like generic (manufactured by the same manufacturer for big named bikes), but the good thing here is the components are not crappy, for $595, RS TORA & some XT components, its a very sweet deal, weighs 27 lbs, let me see when it arrives.

check again, there is a thumbnail for other pix

Hi Glenn,

Ramapo Valley Cycling Club (RVCC) is the local mtb club at Ringwood. They maintain the trails and lead group rides throughout the year. Web site is: rvccmtb.com

Not much ride posting is happening now in the winter, but things should pick up in the spring. Also you can check jorba.org for other rides close to you.
