The big mamma looks very lightweight kinda spindley,compared to the Rip 9. Niner had problems with the rip9's in 07 and those frames looked alot beefer than the Big Mamma. Has anybody had any ride time on one?

The Big Mama is much more stout than a first-generation RIP 9. I can't speak for it compared to a new RIP, but compared to the old RIP, it's no comparison. It's a very stiff, great pedaling and smooth riding bike.
