Big Bear Bike and Camp 8/18 weekend?

I talked with these guys and they seem to really know their stuff about the Big Bear area!

I'm seriously considering a bike and camp weekend for my birthday in August. Would anyone be interested in joining up with me and some other folks from the Orange County area?

We're all pretty experienced riders. But not fast! We take our time and enjoy the scenery.

I'd love to make it up there for one of these events. What trails do you hit for the saturday mountain bike?
We usually take off from Knickerbocker Rd. and granted there a lots of variations it usually goes something like this: CLICK HERE

There are lots of different descents but we usually climb the fireroad and bomb the single track. Sounds fun doesn't it? Hope to see you next weekend.

BTW: We just tested the cruiser, klunker, fun ride this morning and it was a blast. We started at Knickerbocker Rd. and rode down over the dam, came up the North side of the lake through Fawnskin and over Stanfield Cutoff back to Knickerbocker. It was roughly 15 fun rolling miles. The early mornings are essential due to how hot it's been getting during the day and the lack of traffic on the road. It would be great to have more people join in and I'm sure next Sunday there will be. It's a great way to ride off your hangover or just start your day. Expect to meet between 6-30'ish and 7 AM. See the first post for all the details.
