I am looking to get a nice pair of biking shoes, but not clipless ones. Any suggestions?

mostly skating shoes work best, they are flat footed i personally wear Es shoes.

yeah I wear skate shoes now, I was just thinking maybe there were some lighter ones out there or something. I am getting as pair of Teva's, the ones that are really light and water doesn't stay in them, and they ahve a rugged bottom for liek river rock bootoms. also great for climbing, so i figure they will be good for mtb.

661 and some of the others listed above make a skate style shoe that can be used with clipless or flat pedals. They also have a stiffer sole that improves pedaling efficiency.

I just opened up a pair of Five Ten High Impacts and in the first test they live up to the hype. Holy [email protected] are they sticky!

Here are my Converse riding shoes. As you can see from the second photo, they are definitely not clipless !

I just got the five tens about 2 weeks ago. They do stick, (almost too well). Repositioning your foot once you step on the pedal is a little tricky some times. I was using an old pair of skate shoes before that.

Why don't you want that the shoe not be able to go clipless?

You can buy any cycling shoe and not install the clips, and have a nice shoe with rigid soles.
