Beware of ebay seller Xtreme bike&sport

Hello friends!

I wanted to warn everyone.

I ordered a new Reba (Item number: 120307768054) from Doug (dana67301) at Xtreme Bike&Sport on ebay. Then I realized I ordred the 26" instead of the 29er model. I emailed Doug and he said he'd be happy to cancel it (as he wouldn't have the 29er for several weeks). Well, the charge is still on my Paypal account. I emailed Doug, and all he had to say is that it was shipped.

He couldn't even provide a UPS/FedEx tracking number.

I have saved all the email correspondence.

It could be a missunderstanding.

Did he say he will ship you the 29'er when he gets it in stock?

But now he says that he has shipped the 26" version?

Some of these sellers have a lot of sales (high volume, low profit) and make mistakes.

I just bought a new rear shock from a Canadian shop on ebay, he sent it to the wrong person (someone else is Japan bought a shock at the same time and somehow both mine and his got sent to the other person!). He then sent me an email asking to send both the shocks back!

I never received one yet! I told him. In the end, he appologized and said he will send the shock to me and include something with a value of up to $45 from his store, so I had a little browse and the only thing I could find was an Easton EA70 CNT handlebar that was on his store for $65. He said no problem!

Just recieved the shock and handlebar 10mins ago! sweet! Raining really heavy today so can't fit them.

What is the feedback of the seller?

It could be an honest mistake.

I just checked the item and the seller.

He seems legit. Maybe he has sent you a 29'er model already?

The mistake was yours, you did click buy and sent the cash for a fork that is clearly a 26" model, he will probably help you out though, although he has no obligation to do so according to eBay rules.

I forwarded Doug his email stating my order was cancelled. He responded with "I shipped the same fork in the 29 version to you. Thanks, Doug" I asked for a tracking number and haven't received a reply.
my seller didn't give me a tracking number either.

Don't worry!

I am sure he is not a scammer.
I've bought some Hope parts from him a few times in the past. Good eBay seller at the time, hopefully this is just a misunderstanding.
Perhaps you should have waited until the matter was CONCLUDED before posting libelous comments on the interwebs.
My retort;

Jerk_Chicken: This has been going on since October 15th.

SteveUK: IMO the matter is concluded. It has been over TWO MONTHS and Doug said the fork was shipped, and my CC has been charge, and he can't provide a tracking number. He also hasn't responded to my additional emails since he sent the one saying the fork has shipped. So how long would you wait?

IF52: As I mentioned above, what angers me is his total lack of concern, his "tough luck, too bad" attitude.

PayPal or Visa dispute? Telephone call?
Jerk_Chicken; Very funny !

SteveUK; About 6 unanswered emails and only now a CC dispute.
"...and only now a CC dispute."

Which is ongoing?
If you waited more than 45 days (I think), you're likely screwed as far as Paypal is concenred.
