Best value custom frame builders (read: cheap!)

Anyone building Easton Ultralight/Elite frames around $500-700? I want to get a "test" frame to ride for a few months before I invest in a full-on custom Ti frame. Thanks.

I'd check with Spicer Cycles (http://www.spicercycles.com). They're pretty cheap. I'm not sure that they have exactly what you want but that's where I'd check first.
