What is the best style rack to transport a Optimo HT with lefty fork? I have a Jeep Cherokee with a 2" receiver hitch or I can use a roof rack. There are 3 styles that I can think of:

1. roof or receiver hitch rack with Hurricane fork adapter.
2. roof or receiver hitch rack with the downtube frame clamp.
3. receiver hitch rack with top tube clamp.

What style rack is best for securing the delicate tubes on the frame? I take the Jeep on trails so I need a sturdy system to secure my bike and atleast 1 more bike. And, what are some good brands?

Thanks,
JeepGuy

I have a lefty and i don't like my frame marked up. I would go with a Sport works transport for a 2" receiver. I have it and love it, it's sturdy, and doesn't touch the frame or require front wheel removal. There is also one from oneup that grabs the seatpost only, but it doesn't fold up for when it's not in use.

SPORTWORKS TRANSPORT!!!!! There is no substitute. No bungees, extra straps and stratching of frame.

Order the Mad Phatt hoops version. This version allows you to carry bikes with tires up to 3.0 and yet still can carry my skinny road bike. You can order the Mad Phatt version so you don't have to pay extra later as an add on option.

I'll look into the Sportsworks...

Thanks for the info. I wasn't even aware of that style of rack. That looks like a good set up for me. Too bad performance doesn't carry them with their 20% coupon right now.

Thanks,
