I plan on getting (more than likely) a Pryme AL for the occasional light downhill and more intense trail use. I'd like the security of face protection on those days.

On light trail (especially with my friend, who doesn't have the best bike in the world) and paved use, I'd like to find a good skate style helmet. Call me a fashion whore, I just like the way they look a lot better than an XC helmet, and for light use I don't see the need for one.

I see some helmets from Bell, 661, and Giro fit the bill.

Suggestions appreciated.

albe's bmx carries the only skate lid I ever use. Protec classic (the kind with the semi soft sides). Low profile and super comfy although it (and all skate lids) is hot as hades on a trail ride.
