I've been out of the scene for so long, I don't know where to shop anymore. Gonna be buying a new ride (really leaning toward an Ibex), but I don't know where I should get all my stuff that has to go along with the bike. Helmet, shoes, shorts, pads, etc, etc. Any thoughts?:)

If you don't already have some reference you're going to need to visit the LBS or a retailer to try stuff on.

For clothing or anything else that needs to be fitted, i.e. helmet, shoes, I'd say go to your local bike shop (LBS) so you can try it on. I've been burned too many times by buying clothing & shoes online, and when they arrive they don't fit. Then you have to do an exchange and pay for shipping *again* and wait another 1-2 weeks for your new stuff to show up and hopefully the new stuff will fit. Hopefully.

For everything else, I like www.universalcycles.com

Other good spots for purchasing online:

http://www.performancebike.com Nutritional goods (if you need them, they're almost always on sale), and random gear is usually priced well.

http://www.speedgoat.com They have a great selection of stuff. Not a ton of sales or amazing prices (sometimes you can get great stuff, though), but if no one else has it in stock, Speedgoat usually does. Also, great customer service.

http://www.blueskycycling.com Good sales and deals quite often.

Hey Man, Try this place. Click here QBike It's a search engine that looks up whatever you type through 27 online bike shops. All the big stores are here.

Good Luck!

JensonUSA has a cool feature called "Market Price". If someone submits a price match that is lower than Jenson's price, they will put that new price into their system. If you purchase something that has this Market Price, you will automatically get that price. I just ordered a Thomson Elite X4 stem from them for $69, which is $20 less than their retail price, and $10 less than Universal Cycles price (which they advertise as "rock bottom, so no price match")

I just built up a new ride, and 99% of it came from 1)Price Point, 2)Greenfish, and 3)Jenson. Even after shipping, I came in competitively w/ any retailer for the finished product.
